Arguing that it is over before election day is a not so subtle attempt to dishearten to opposition into not showing up on election day as the result of a “self-fulfilling prophesy”.

It ignores (or tries to ignore) the fact that we have a choice between two flawed candidates and the chief difference between them in the back of most people’s minds is that Trump has said a lot of bad stuff, but Hillary has done a lot of bad stuff and Trump has apologized for saying bad and stupid stuff while Hillary’s typical response is to deflect, deny or say “at this point, what difference does it make?”
