In the last several Administrations, can you name one time when there wasn’t some sort of investigation going on?

I am thinking there was a time early in the Carter Administration when there wasn’t an investigation of someone high up in the Administration.

In other words, if the criteria for not firing someone is the existance of an investigation or the need for and investigation, then you can never fire the FBI Director or Attorney General. Since they aren’t even mentioned in the Constitution, it is hardly the “Constitutional Crisis” many are making it out to be!
