Do You Believe Your Own Story?
Honestly, after all this time I am still amazed at the power of the most basic principles of personal development. Until you actually believe your own story then I can promise you that no one else will either.
So often, the people I coach assume that the process of changing your life is such a massive journey involving all sorts of complex steps. Sure, there are definitely things we need to do to gain momentum and structures and systems have their place. However, the real power of change comes in the moment that you fundamentally perceive yourself differently.

The moment you suddenly realise that you CAN be different is the moment that things begin to shift. Until you have this new experience of self-belief then neither will anyone else.
Let’s assume you want a raise, a promotion or want to ask someone out on a date. You know those nerves you feel? That is caused by the fear of rejection because you don’t have a deep sense of self-belief that you are worth it. I wish I could sugar coat it for you but that’s the essence of it.
So, the obvious question, “How do you get this self-belief?” For me it’s a mix of things. It’s facing the small fears and having some wins. Once you have a few small wins you can start to realise that you are capable in a particular area. But you never get those small wins without facing the small fears first.
The other key step is FAITH. Faith is the decision to believe something new about yourself and to speak it out. I honestly do this all the time. In the car, in the shower, when the house or office is empty. I keep speaking out the TRUTH about what I choose to believe. It’s a paradox! We have to speak into existence that which may not (yet) have come to pass.
My dear friend, stop playing small. Believe in what’s possible. We need your best!
