Trump’s Popularity is Blamed on a Neurological Effect

Dunning-Kruger effect — When someone is so incompetent they believe that they are exceptionally skilled.

In 1999, two Cornell University psychology professors developed the Dunning-Kruger effect which is defined as

“a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than is accurate. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability to recognize their [own] ineptitude.”

Neuroscientists credit the Dunning-Kruger effect on Trump’s popularity.

A perfect example is the fact that Trump supporters are predominantly less educated than Hillary supporters.

I bet you any Trumpkin that read that statement, this side of the Mason Dixon line, vehemently denied it. According to the Dunning-Kruger effect, people will deny widely accepted knowledge and consider themselves experts on matters they do not know shit about.

Facts are facts. Any poll will illustrate that more college educated people vote democratic. And still, they refuse to believe it.

Why didn’t Trump run as a Democrat?

After all, he had been a Democrat for most of his life. Not one member of his family could vote for him in the primaries, because they were all registered as Democrats!

But he runs as a Republican. Why?

The reason sheds a bit of light on the Dunning-Kruger effect. Trump said how much he loved the poorly educated. The poorly educated is easily manipulated. They won’t question his seemingly infinite list of political gaffes and lack of knowledge.

Despite the fact that Trump knows next to nothing about important topics like Obamacare, defeating Islam, the date of Election Day, and the Nuclear Triad, his supporters are convinced he’d make a great president!?

Do they really believe those conspiracy theories they preach on the corners? In the video above, some of the theories mentioned is that Hillary Clinton had multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and even AIDS, and was using a body double to conceal her ill health from the public. They also dug into birther conspiracy theories about President Obama. One man even ranted that, “Barack Obama had big part of 9/11,” because he was “always on vacation, never in the office.”

Obama wasn’t president during 911.

Do they really believe these things, or is it so impossible to defend their argument, they have no choice but to hide behind these make believe fantasies?

Republicans have been investigating Hillary for twenty years. And they never found anything. Six Republican investigations all declared Hillary innocent.

…and in The Donald’s corner…

  1. Trump is currently the defendant in a class action in which he stole tuition money from children.
  2. More than ten women claim to have been sexually assaulted by Trump.
  3. New York AG claims Trump Foundation violated charity rules.
  4. Instead of hiring Americans, Trump hires foreigners, who he doesn’t have to pay as much.

With that being said, ask any Trumpkin and they’ll tell you that Hillary is the “crooked” one. LOL!
