In the case of the article, my use of ‘young people’ may be a misnomer. Perhaps ‘young adults’ is more appropriate? Either way, it’s difficult to measure, I may say that I prefer radio because I listen to radio programmes, when in fact I listen almost exclusively to on-demad audio. Thank you for pointing this out.
As for podcast listening in ≥14 year-olds, 18% is still high (even with only a sample of 600) considering these are the first generation of 9–14 year olds to experience podcasting moving into the mainstream. I’m excited to see how these figures change over the coming years.
