Project 1

This week in class I have been working with my partner Shelby Johnson on a plan and a layout for our first project. Our goal is to work with some of the special needs students at our school who are about to graduate soon. Most of these kids are between the ages of 18 and 22. During our class period, Shelby and I will hopefully be visiting with the students and helping them learn some basic life skills. As of right now, we are going to start to plan out some meetings we can have with their teacher, Mrs. Sculthorp. We are going to run our ideas by hers and determine what our plan will be going forward. Shelby and I are also going to ask her to be our mentor for this project. Over the next 2–3 weeks we will be devising a plan, creating a timeline, and taking the necessary steps towards this goal.
