In this guide we are going to take $400 and leverage our positions in Ether and Bitcoin:

• We exchange 200 DAI for ~200 USDC using Curve.fi
• Add tokens to Metamask wallet
• Deposit 200 USDC in dydx Perpetual
• Buy BTC perpetual Contract from dydx

Exchange 200 DAI for 200 USDC using Curve.fi

Go to https://www.curve.fi/

Note: we need USDC (coinbase stable coin for dollars) to use it in the perpetual contract of the DYDX platform, hence we exchange 200DAI for 200 USDC, this can also be done in uniswap.exchange but the rate was better in curve.fi !

Connect MetaMask Wallet:

• Accept to Connect Wallet

• Exchange 200DAI for USDC

We confirm 2 transactions:

• 1 transaction to Allow Curve.fi to spend our DAI
• 1 transaction to exchange 200 DAI for 200.74 USDC (US Dollar from Coinbase)

Where are our USDC?

• We go to our wallet and “Add Token” to see USDC

• We now see our 400$ split in 200DAI and 200.74

Go to:

• dydx exchange https://trade.dydx.exchange/
• Click on “Balances”

• Click on Connect Wallet:

• Accept to Connect:

• Now Click on “Deposit”

• We agree the terms of service

We Specify:

• Destination: BTC-USD Perpetual
• Deposit Asset: USDC (US Dollar Coinbase)
• We Click on “Enable USDC”

• Confirm Transaction

• We Click “MAX” to specify how many USDC we want to deposit
• We click “Deposit”

• Confirm Transaction

• We now go to Perpetuals 10x

• We fill

• Sign the transaction

• We click on Orders to see our order waiting to be executed

Trade ETH

• We go to uniswap.exchange to buy 200$ worth of ETH

• we go back to dydx →MARGIN

• Click on “Deposit”

• we select the asset to deposit (Eth) and proceed to deposit 0.87 ETH (0.87ETH bought from uniswap)

• We use 0.87ETH to leverage our position 3x times to 2.60ETH
• Liquidation price $176
