Makes sense. In order to do real work you have to (a) block out the time and (b) turn off distractions, which is surprisingly difficult in today’s workplace.
David McCullough, the famous biographer, provides a great example of this. He types up all of his books on a typewriter that he bought second hand in 1964. He uses it because it enables him to slow down and focus.
