The Flight Itself

Friday July 22nd, 2016

I flew from Greenville, South Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia to Tokyo, Japan, and finally to Taipei, Taiwan. The flight was long, and I ended up having to stay up the day before, I had to leave at 3:00am from my house in Spartanburg to get to the airport. My flight was at 5:30am from Greenville, South Carolina. I arrived in Atlanta at 6:30am. Unfortunately, I had about a 6 hour layover in Atlanta, so I grabbed some Chickfila breakfast, and tried sleeping a little bit. Every 5 minutes or so, I had my eyes open to make sure nobody was going to steal my baggage. Also, Pokemon Go in the airport is lit. Pokestops everywhere, so I just sat in one spot and spun the Pokestop every 5 minutes or so to rake up some items.
Saying Good-bye to my Mom and younger brother.
Japanese Meal on route from Atlanta to Tokyo (Edamame, Cucumbers, Japanese Omelets, Seafood)

Being in the airport and flying was about 23 hours total. I was practically sleep deprived because of the time zone changes and everything! I actually ended up being in business class with the 13 hour flight from Atlanta to Tokyo so it was very nice to have a chair that can lay all the way down. I was quite impressed with my seat arrangement, I have never ever in my life been in business class! I totally felt like an elite. And the food was much much better in business class. ;) I also found out I can constantly order alcoholic drinks… however I was way too exhausted to drink more than one.

Part 2 of Japanese Meal (Rice, Fish, Soup)

I ended up watching Batman v. Superman and the Pixels movie on the flight. When I arrived in Tokyo, it was about 3:00pm. I tried contacting my mother in the US to tell her I arrived in Tokyo, but for some odd reason my phone decided to fail on me. My phone would not connect to the airport Wifi at all. I tried getting help from the customer service lady, but she couldn’t figure it out either. So as I arrived to my gate, I got on my computer, and I was able to access the airport Wifi so I messaged my mother and some other relatives on Facebook. I was so relieved. Apparently there is an hour difference in Tokyo and Taiwan, so when I flew from Tokyo to Taiwan, I was supposed to get there at 7:30pm but I ended up getting there at 6:30pm.

Japan is much Greener than I expected!

All in all, the flight was pretty steady. I slept half of the way, ate food, and watched some movies. I’m just glad I was able to safely travel to my destinations!

Arrival In Taipei, Taiwan.
