Each year, millions of people attend Broadway productions in New York — many for the first time. The following are a few tips to make your visit a positive one:

- Plan transportation. Whether you drive, take a taxi, or travel by subway, plan ahead to avoid last-minute anxiety. Knowing ahead of time where to park or which subway routes to use will make your visit that much more enjoyable.

- Be on time. Theatres typically open thirty minutes before the curtain time printed on your ticket. Arrive early and leave enough time to do things like pick up tickets and use the restroom.

-Stay quiet during the show. Turn off your phone and avoid conversations. If you brought a snack, make sure to open any noisy food wrappers prior to the start of the play.
