CHENANGO COUNTY DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE ENDORSES RILEY FOR CONGRESS

ITHACA, N.Y. — Today, the Chenango County Democratic Committee announced its endorsement of Josh Riley for Congress in New York’s 19th Congressional District.

“Josh earned support across Chenango County because he shows up, listens, and fights for us,” said Chenango County Democratic Committee Chairwoman Patricia Giltner. “Josh has been actively involved with our committee for years, and we’re excited to support him.”

“Our campaign is building momentum because people are tired of self-serving politicians lining their own pockets while selling us out,” said Riley. “I’m honored to have earned the Chenango County Democratic Committee’s support, and I look forward to continuing our work together.”

Riley has built significant grassroots momentum since launching his campaign in April. More than 20 County Democratic Committee chairs and vice chairs have announced their support for his candidacy. And the campaign has raised more than $500,000 from over 5,000 people in the 50 days after launching the campaign–all without accepting a penny from corporate PACs.

Josh Riley is an Ithaca resident and a fifth-generation Broome County native. He previously served as counsel on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and is now running for Congress in New York’s 19th District.
