Joshua McAlees is the President of Capital Construction and Development, Inc., a full-service construction development company based in North Palm Beach, Florida. With over twenty years of experience as both a developer and general contractor, Josh has helped the company grow in prestige and revenue. In 1996, Joshua McAlees graduated from Northwood University with his Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Banking/Finance. After graduating, he began working for Nicklaus Design, constructing golf courses, car dealerships, and other high-profile commercial projects. During the beginning, he was predominately tasked with completing cost estimation and budgeting for full construction schedules. As he advanced in his career, however, Josh began to step into various project management roles for construction projections throughout Florida. Eventually, he was promoted to Director of Construction and Partner. During his time with Nicklaus Design, annual sales saw an increase of $45 million.
Having developed a passion for contracting and project management, Josh went on to earn his general contractor and real estate licenses in 2003. Deciding he wanted to work for himself, Josh founded his company Capital Construction and Development, Inc. a year later. The company initially focused on commercial development projects, such as office and warehouse properties, but after the 2009 market crash, Josh shifted his company’s focus to high-end residential construction.
During his time as president, Joshua McAlees has spearheaded a myriad of efforts within the construction process. As a manager of the development process, he has gained experience exercising due diligence, managing financing, contract negotiations, permitting, land planning, and construction. This experience has enabled Josh to train his employees in various aspects of construction and development processes.
