Best gift of the year.

What Made 2015 My BIG Year

The genesis of this year felt like yesterday, though it’s day 364.5 out of 365 — today’s the second to the last day of the year 2015. I want to use Medium as a medium to throw the due gratitude and respect.

God made man — me, so He’s first on the list. Thank you God for making everything possible. Most people tend to ignore the fact that You are behind most of the things.

This is an appreciation note for all the people and things that made my year. I will make it a list type. I would be starting with my personal interest plus some other things sha…

1. My Sweet Books’ Authors

a) Dear Chinua Achebe, I didn’t read Things Fall Apart until this year, so it happens to be the best book I read in 2015. Thank you so much for writing this book, it made my time when I traveled to the western part of the country.

b) I told my ex I am going to name my first daughter(if I am going to have one) Chimamanda, and the she said, ehn.. I can’t remember what she said, but it sounds like, “You are crazy.”

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is the best Author alive! I am so obsessed with Adichie, I even made her a photo on a her birthday this year.

You are a queen when you have books like, Half of A Yellow Sun, Purple Hibiscus, Americanah, Things Around Your Neck and finally, We Should All Be Feminists. After I struggled to finish most of this books, then I knew Nigerians will rule the world someday.

And finally on this list.

c) I met a man that tells you to eat a frog. Ha-ha, it’s not a frog really, It’s those paramount things you have to do but you ignore them because they are tedious. So funny, he calls them frogs. Brian Tracy has written a lot of books but the ones I could get my hands on and at the same time captured my mind and caught me red-handed are, Eat That Frog! and No Excuse!

It doesn’t matter where you are coming from. All that matters is where you are going. — Brian Tracy

I’ve found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often. — Brian Tracy

No reason is needed for loving. I am thanking my brother again for making me a Big Boy, for telling me what I need to hear. Thank you for inspiring me.

Thanks to almighty God, I made it into YabaTech. It happens to be one of the best thing that happened to me this year.
