Success at 19 years old.
The story goes a little like this. At 16 years old, I was convinced that I could teach myself better than any high school teacher could. I was never an all A’s student. So during the time I was supposed to be doing my homework, I was reading books on success and how to win and influence people; I took Coursera courses about philosophy and computer science — subject matter that I was interested in. I knew in my heart that I could become a more successful person by becoming an autodidact. Fast forward three years, I moved way from home at 18. I am proficient enough to be a junior software developer in Nashville, TN.

I attended a software development micro school for 3 months to learn Ruby on Rails. I have self-taught computer science concepts and business strategies. I have read more books on success that any one person should have too. Recently, I have started my first real online business venture — snailephant.com. It will launch on May 6th, 2016. I see what my friends are doing at 19 years of age, studying for exams that they have no interests in. They break their backs just to get an A for a class that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. I want to inspire all my friends and family. My goal is to be an example of what is possible for people like you and I. You can forge whatever path you can imagine. You can be successful at anything. All it takes is three things. The audacity to take the leap. The strength to endure the difficult Journey. And finally, you have to want to succeed more than you want to breathe. You have to want it more than anything. It has to be your passion, your muse, your everything. It is never too late to take the leap. So go create something truly amazing.
