Hi tigger – I’ve never made soda bread. I often make ciabatta which doesn’t use any of that stuff.

Good man for being on it with the gravies. Nice one. I only use a roux in my gravies and sauces. I find things like cornflower make them gluey and add a fake sheen not as easy on the eye.
