Oliver, yet again, a good one.
I like these guys. Good chord changes. A decent amount of glam. Nice voice. Long tracks. I feel like they pulled the handbrake on at the pre-cliche sweet spot.
I have a definite favourite but, interestingly, when I listened to a few of the slower ones I immediately thought ‘ick’ but then they ended up down a long sidetrack I might have otherwise missed — so I hit the brakes, backed up the Camaro, turned the wheel into a sharp right and slid into the dusty track – carved my way down its bumps and grooves, suspension responding nicely, dust flying everywhere and, although I really enjoyed the diversion and learned a few new slide skills, well, you should have seen the Camaro once I popped the bonnet later… I thought about whether it was worth spending the money on some sort of air filtering system if I wanted to continue chasing the ick. As I cleaned up I had to wonder if it had been worth it.
I didn’t buy it, but I reckon it would be worth hanging out in the grunge biker bar with all of these guys – except for the lead singer. I’d definitely leave him sitting out the front in the Camaro.
