Hospice Austin to Hold 2015 Beauty of Life Event in November

An attorney and former district court judge with over three decades of experience, Judge Peter “Pete” Lowry served in the 261st District Court of Travis County, Texas, for more than 20 years. Currently, Judge Pete Lowry gives back to the community through his support of organizations like Hospice Austin, a nonprofit that provides care, education, and bereavement support for individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

In an effort to raise the funds needed to conduct its programs and activities, Hospice Austin holds a variety of events throughout the year. Currently, the group is preparing for several upcoming events, including Beauty of Life, which will be held November 13, 2015, at the Hilton Austin Hotel.

Now in its 10th year, Beauty of Life 2015 will include brunch, shopping opportunities, and a silent auction to benefit Hospice Austin. In addition, the event will feature a presentation by Cheryl Strayed, the New York Times bestselling author of Wild, which was recently turned into a feature film starring Reese Witherspoon.
