For something that should be a sexy and intimate decision between two people, the naked pic conundrum has led to a lot of confusion, awkwardness and douchebaggery among celebs, politicians and normal folks alike. So how do you deal with it all? Whether you’re into to them or not, being asked to take a naked pic is oftentimes the norm and hard to avoid in today’s dating world. To help make the process a little easier, we’ve compiled a list of tips and advice to help you decide to leave it on or take it all off.

Scenario 1: You’re totally not feeling it

Maybe you just met on Tinder, or you’ve had a few dates and he sexts you out of the blue, or your new boo is just being an ass — whatever the reason there are far too many situations that require a witty response to save the relationship or blow him off with style. Statisfy.co came up with an amazing lists of come backs. Here are just a few of our favorites.

  1. He asks for a nude?

Send him a picture of nude lipstick instead.

Or try a picture of a random naked person. He never said it had to be you.

2. He’s a total ass and you want out.

This cat-frontal is one of our favorites. Still horny, honey?

Or try something that kinda looks and smells like a vagina, mmmmm.

Scenario 2: You’re into it but don’t wanna actually take the pic

Your new girl wants a dick pic but that’s not your style, so send her pics of where you want to do it instead. Or if you don’t mind showing off a little skin, cover your private parts and show her the rest. And if you’re a bit of a comedian Askmen.com suggests covering it up with something funny like a bag of potato chips. She’ll be laughing and turned on.

Scenario 3: You’re so down but don’t want end up like JLaw

But what if you and your partner are into it? Do we really live in a society where it’s not possible to send naked pics without potential repercussions? Don’t worry, it’s still possible but certain precautions should be taken. The Washington Post (impressively) compiled a list on how to take a naked pic safely. Here’s what they have to say:

-Keep it anonymous — don’t show your face or any defining marks like a tattoo.

-Make the photo untraceable — a step by step guide can be found here — otherwise the picture will forever be linked to your phone.

-Use a secret app like CoverMe so the picture isn’t attached to your name.
