The part about the office desks/chairs is tue. A friend of mine works at an office that last year had their complete furniture switched. They even hired a professional esigner to make sure that the new furniture both looked good, was funtional and easy to use. The result was an office where the desks were too high for most women and some men, but also too low for some men and the highest shelves cpuld only be reached by a fraction of the employees. Now the office finally got height-adjustable tables ( Frustratinglyonly after the men who were too tall for the tables complained. both the complaints from women and smaller than average men were ignored)
