No, just no Paul. I don’t know what focus groups you conducted but you are wrong. This is insulting. I am the daughter of immigrant parents and grew up in the Dominican neighborhood of Washington Heights in NYC. Bodegas are the fabric of our communities. They are part of our Latin culture and are not just a place or a ‘fancy vending machine’ or a name, bodegas are family and mean everything to us. I worked at my uncle’s bodega in Harlem one summer during HS and that experience was priceless. You can’t compare your bro-dega to a real bodega. It is a vending machine. Period. Sorry Paul.
