Love is all around.

No matter if you are Single, Engaged, Married, Widow or Widower.

‘Some people try to find love outside of themselves. While love is in my heart, it’s everywhere.’ Michael Jackson

I am a hopeless romantic. I could watch Chick Flick movies the rest of my life without getting ever bored, crying at happy ends and laughing about serendipity moments.

They are ‘happy feeling’ movies which are balm to your soul especially after a rough day at work, discussions at home or when you are at the edge of life changing decisions. These movies are showing a world of love, laughter, enjoyment, words and dialogues that heatens up the bottom of your heart.

In a world where terrorism, fights, war and death dominates the news, love is one of the few things which don’t cost a thing, it can live without any dependancies — it’s can just be there if we let it and want to.

In the Intro scene of the movie ‘Love Actually’ they are showing the arrival hall of an airport. It’s one of the places where love is all around, people are hugging, kissing and tears of happiness trickle down their eyes.

I was always under the impression that the word ‘love’ is connected with either family, close friends, boyfriends or husbands. But it’s actually not.

It’s the person in the coffees shop who gives you a donut for free seeing you had a tough day, the repairer who fixed your beloved Christmas reindeer which you already imagined landing in the trash, a friend who drives to the pharmacy in the middle of the night to get you medicine to be able to fly the next day to a business meeting or the best friend of your boyfriend who makes you smile with a silly joke so the temporary goodbye of your loved one gets easier. All these individuals spray love but with our fixed mindsets and stereotype thinking we don’t mark this as ‘being loved’.

Love is unconditionally, love is not connected to a boyfriend or husband. There are times we feel lonely as those 2 love types don’t exist in our life right now — I would lie if I am not admitting that these are the most fulfilling ones.

But don’t waste a minute of your life being unhappy because there are other types of love just around the corner who are waiting to be explored — there are so many little beauties which we are missing when we are going out into the world with a grim face.

Smile and you will be amazed what love is coming back and then ‘your love’ which you were waiting on, might be one of those.
