“The 3C Action items that help you Win the weekend” WTW #003
Weekends are the best! There is no greater feeling than knowing the day is Friday, or your Friday, and you finally have time to yourself. Time to relax, catch up on sleep, run errands, or just be a lazy bum with no feelings of guilt.
Until now, that’s what weekends were for but allow me to change or shift your paradigm to one not filled with relaxation but one of determination. I, like most people at one time only used weekends to hang with friends and run around at leisure. The freedom of not having to wake to an alarm or do the dreadful morning routine again provides for much peace of mind.
BUT, If you are among the goal oriented and competitive the weekend is more than what was described above. It is a time to perfect your discipline rising earlier than most and put time into your goals, passions, and dreams. For the super competitive it is a time to get ahead. You know and realize most others are taking off but yet you are pressing forward. This is what it takes in order to Win Big. Especially when statistics prove that most people spend more time at jobs that they hate, rather than spending time on tasks fore filling to themselves.
Create, Cut, & Consolidate to Win Big
- Create separate list of actions to complete specifically on Saturday and Sunday that should have been done the past week, or past couple of weeks ago or even months/years ago that help get you closer to your goal.
- Cut off your phone, social media notifications, TV, and any other distractions and really Focus on your overall objective. If you realize you have created distractions for yourself make a conscious decision to cut those things or people out of your life and Focus on your Life tasking.
- Consolidate your focus to the few things that are number 1 on your list. We can do a lot in a day but if very little time is spent on the top priority or numero uno (number 1) Goals in your life which matter the most to you then you will never achieve the things you want to accomplish.
After you do these things you should find yourself back focused, square on your target goals, and filled with the freedom to act in competitive confidence to truly WIN THE WEEKEND.
