Five Hours of Sleep

I am in the process of changing my sleeping schedule.

My end goal is to go to bed at 8 PM every night and wake up at 4 AM each morning.

There are supposedly health benefits regarding going to bed early and waking up early as opposed to going to bed late and waking up mid-morning.

Some issues I run up against include eating too close to bed time and activities that keep me up past my new bed time.

For instance I didn’t get to bed until 10:30 PM last night and still chose to wake up when my alarm went off at 4:00 AM.

I am tired. This is the third day waking up at 4 AM in a row and today is the hardest. White light hurts my eyes right now and I have a slight headache.

I have accidentally created a wake up bonus by forcing myself to go outside each morning for a silly Snapchat picture — the cold outdoor air helps me wake up each morning.

I don’t have Spotify, I’ve used alternatives that met my needs.

Yet, I noticed something quite funny in the Clock app on my phone. It says ‘Music Alarms are now available, install Spotify to get started.’

I’m confused as to why it doesn’t offer the feature through Google Play Music, YouTube Music, or Soundcloud because this is a Google phone and they typically give you choices on features like this.

I think I will get Spotify now because I want to try out the feature and I don’t have any choices this time around.

I can always do the traditional way and download a song of my choice to my phone — then use that for the alarm ringtone.
