Stable Housing for 500 Teachers by 2020

One of the main reasons I became a neighborhood advocate was to make our neighborhoods a good and safe place to raise our families. A key part of that is the quality of our schools. And essential to that are our wonderful, inspiring and transformative teachers.

As Supervisor, I have worked hard to shorten the gap between recognizing problems and needs and actually finding good, workable solutions to them. My top goal as Supervisor has been to preserve the character and diversity of our district and our city by focusing on access to housing and on affordability.

Through the cooperation of the Mayor’s Office and the School District, we will be able to provide access to housing for one of the most important and fundamental elements of a Good City: our teachers.

This is one more step of the many we need to take to keep San Francisco a good home for all.
