Why life gets boring…

It’s not your fault. It’s the people you’re surrounded by. The older we get the less exciting the people around us are. They get old. They accept life. They get “tired”. Thank God we have our own spirit because if we lived solely off each other we would all die around age 25.

Remember how fearless you were as a kid. How you took adventures with your friends when you were 8? How wild your college nights out were? What happened to those?

People: Specifically the people you’re surrounded by. For some reason when you pass the “college years” life is supposed to be “normal”. Excuse my french but f@ck that. What kind of BS is that?

Why should you be any different at 16, 25, 38, 41, 54, 72 or even 98 or God willing 108 than you were at age 8? Because your limbs are sore, because you have a “job”, because you have “responsibilities”? I understand being a role model for your children if you’re a parent, and taking care of the people who have taken care of you their whole life but the truth is we’re no different the older we get than we were in our childhood. It’s life and the people in it that change us.

It doesn’t have to be this way though. Just remember how good life was before you worried about all the things you worry about today. Try your hardest to remember what not having a care in the world felt like. Experience that feeling and enjoy it, even if its only for a minute. After you do that just remember what’s possible in life. Chase those dreams. Make them happen.
