It’s odd that I am reluctant to blog, since I started off as a writer. I was a writer-editor who became interested in format and the layout, so I studied graphic design, which began to seem somewhat too static to me — and fixed, so I became interested in interactive design and web design, but then the nuts and bolts behind that began to appeal to me much more than design by itself. In fact, I felt a little guilty not understanding coding and development. Web development does seem to encompass my other pursuits — writing and design, language and image. More than that, it’s the creation of something that people can really use.

I am devoted to my apprenticeship and beyond overjoyed that I decided to take the leap.
