I really can’t believe Phil is really trying to do this … UNLESS … the Knicks medical staff is very nervous about his injuries & his long term resilience, in which case his value is never going to be higher than it is right now. So you wouldn’t come right out & say this guy is an injury risk — that would drive his value down—you’d come up with some trumped up reason, such as missing an exit interview, to make it seem that the relationship has deteriorated to the point they have to move him.

That or Phil really is an idiot, because if after all of this he doesn’t trade him, he’s going to have one REALLY disgruntled employee on his hands come training camp.
