I’m sorry for your loss. It sounds like you raised a great guy. 900 mourners suggests I’m right about that. I can’t imagine losing a child — I recently had a year of 5 funerals, including two friends about my age, my father, grandmother, and a young brother-in-law. People say, “you’ll get over it, in time” but I don’t think that’s exactly true. I’ve gotten past it, but not over it. Reading this post provides a measure of still-needed solace in community— I hope the responses here, collectively, provide a bit of the same.
