I agree that police officers who fail to do their job, or have any prejudice at all, need to be stopped. But that does not give anyone the right to turn around and hurt others who had no responsibility in what happened. Racism is racism. It’s not one-sided. Wrong is wrong. Fighting wrong with a wrong doesn’t create change. There are a lot of good protesters fighting for change and I support their respectful movement. There are a lot of good cops who wouldn’t dream of doing the wrongs others have done and I support their difficult job. Blinding yourself to one side of the right, or one side of the wrong, contributes to the problem and has nothing to do with the change people are seeking.

I understand the hurt and frustration the best I can without being a parent or family member losing someone at the hands of another. I pray for the families losing people to violence. I NEVER want that to happen to anybody. Race doesn’t influence who I pray for, and it doesn’t blind me to wrongs or rights. It’s a terrible situation that has to stop and change.
