Lost Words

Only words-
So many to be said-
Yet nothing to say…
A wire to tread.
If words were spoken
But the choice was wrong-
The ending the same…
Just without the song.
So alone to sit-
While facing mountains to climb;
And the story to tell…
Chanced by time.
While left unspoken -
Inside they live -
To inspire a picture -
And a silence to forgive.
Lost in a moment-
But not in a stare-
The eyes telling the story…
The lips couldn’t share.
The story still tells -
Even if words are missed-
And the end worth reaching…
With less to resist.
