Raise your Frequency

“This is why positive thinking is all the rage and negative subconscious beliefs are so gnarly and why meditiation, and learning to guide your thoughts and love yourself, can change your life.” — Jen Sincero
Oh no…
What kind of hippy garbage is “Raise your frequency?”
I’ll start of by saying we probably have some some serious work to do about your preconceived notions of what energy, positive thinking, and meditation have to do with your potential to live an ambitious, peaceful and meaningful existence but let’s start with some basics.
I mean, regardless of how superficial you think these practices to be, you can’t argue that these certain people who practice positivity aren’t visibly happier. Even if it’s all fake, right?
So is it all just for show?
Nope, It’s completely legitimate.
You’re at a party and all of a sudden some guy named Tim enters and everyone starts whooping and hollering, “AYYYY TIMS HEREE!!!”
You have no idea who this Tim guy is but you’re already rolling around in your head thinking like, “Fuck this guy. Fuck Tim.”
You don’t even know the guy but you’re already envious of him. Everyone else seems to like him, your friends included.
You have no idea what’s going on in this guys head but what you start to realize is that it’s like he’s radiating some sort of positivity force field that’s pulling everyone in like metal shavings to a magnet.
This is where you start to question your own potential, why you should be more like Tim, and how you’ve gotten to be where your at in life.
First off, bench that attitude of yours sport.
and second, you can now admit sorta kinda that this is the start to seeing how this energy voodoo magic exists whether you like it or not.
It’s no joke when people talk about vibes, or energy output, that they mean serious business and we aren’t just talking about some dance move they learned at Wakarusa last year while tripping on 3 doses of LSD.
Don’t be so naive.
Let’s start at the beginning.
Sub-Conscious Beliefs.
You know when you came screaming and hollering into this world? You were literally a little ball of life with ZERO experience. Zero conceptional beliefs.
You we’re the epitome of human being. All you did was exactly what you had to do in that very moment. Your concept of future and past hadn’t occurred to you in the slightest.
Over the course of your, well, life. You learned all sorts of rules, regulations, beliefs, codes, blah blah blah….
You get the point.
It’s a damn good guess that you probably learned a ton of these beliefs from your tribe aka clan aka posse aka family.
What I’ve learned about a lot of these sub-conscious beliefs is that they limit your conscious decisions by using safety mechanisms rooted in fear.
You know like, the fear of missing out, the fear of falling behind, the fear of dying, the fear of... Need I go on?
I see these sub-conscious beliefs to limit the capability of our personal growth.
How conflicting and damaging must it be to feel one way but to have your underpinning beliefs make you feel guilty for wanting something. What’s worse, is they make you feel guilty for even trying to change your beliefs.
Guilty to express your sexuality. Guilty to chase dreams and be broke. Guilty to set aside religion even if you believe in god.
Life is certainly not about feeling guilty. So don’t guilt trip yourself over what you did in the past, what people think, or what society feels you need to feel shitty about.
It’s time to throw that shit away. It’s limiting the amount of positivity you’re exuding.
How manically exciting must it feel to release yourself from the constraints of imperfect beliefs systems. To live a life free of self-persecution.
Change.
Can you feel it? Can you start to feel your attitude about your life change? If you can maintain the connection to that positivity then you can actively see the power your mind has over your reality.
It’s like when one little positive thing happens during your day that kickstarts the entire positivity of your day. One little occurrence that physically vibrates like a ripple through the rest of your day.
It could be a compliment from a stranger, finding a $20 dollar bill on the ground, a call from a loved one, or any other shred of good news.
What I’ve come to realize is that it’s how you interpret your life and is about giving your energy to the present.
So bring some real passion, intensity, or energy to each conversation you have, shift you work, etc and I swear you’ll see positive shifts in how you feel.
Living in the past is futile, thinking about the future brings on anxiety, and being in the present is the closest thing that resembles peace of mind.
“If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” — Nikolai Tesla
