5 Alternative things to do in London this Christmas

Regent’s Street, London at Christmas — magical

We love London and we especially love it at Christmas.

We wanted to find some cool things to do that didn’t cost a fortune and offered a quirkier experience, so we created a list of 5 alternative things to do in London this Christmas.

  1. It wouldn’t be Christmas in London without the obligatory ice-skating trip. Somerset House and Canary Wharf are our usual spots but have you tried The Ice Rink at Wembley?
  2. Had enough of the cold and want some indoor entertainment? Cool, we got you. How about A Christmas Carol at the Noel Coward Theatre?
  3. What’s Christmas without mulled wine and mince pies? You can find Christmas markets serving treats all over our great City but we’ve chosen a couple of our favorites: Southbank Christmas market and Netil House Christmas market for all your Hipsters!
  4. We do love a good Christmas carol…Silent Night, Holy Night… (don’t knock the singing!). St Bartholomew-The-Great is magical at this time of year and thoroughly recommended
  5. But what about Christmas shopping? For those of you sitting smug-faced having already finished your shopping you can ignore this suggestion. But for the rest of us mere mortals, you have to try Wembley Retail Park and pick up a cool bargain. Or visit the Fair Christmas Fayre and support ethical trading

We’d love to hear your suggestions and if you’re visiting any of the suggestions we’ve listed above, please feel free to reach out and tell us your experience. In the meantime, we hope you have a prosperous few weeks leading up to Christmas
