Ditto, I hate to think of going without dental insurance if for no other reason that even with insurance the crown I had to get last year was $600. If I’d had to pay the full amount it would have sucked. I suppose once that need was discovered I could have signed up for insurance and waited until it would cover a crown, but you have to be on my job’s dental insurance for a year before it covers crowns and that would have been a year of only being able to chew on one side of my mouth.

It’s also an easy decision for me because my work-sponsored dental plan is like $200/year, which is easily cheaper than two out-of-pocket cleanings a year.
