I also wonder how far he takes this argument — like, if he goes out for lunch and doesn’t like what he gets, does he pay what he thinks it was worth, rather than the menu price? Where exactly do you draw the line, or is the argument that you should always pay exactly what you think something is worth without regard for any other factors? And on the flip side, if he was hired to for a job at X rate and then when it was completed, the employer said, “I think the work you did was actually only worth Y,” would he accept that?
