I staffed a client on several trips over the course of a year, basically serving as his assistant for 2 weeks at a time, and I think he ended up sending me flowers after every trip. On the last one, I told him flat out that he should just be nicer to me and save money by not feeling obligated to send flowers. It did not work (the flowers were beautiful, though).
