Since most people probably can’t afford to max/pay off their CC every month (limits are designed that way)… I’d say this is could actually be indicative of millennials having their shit together
The data seems to refer to millennials not holding credit card DEBT, which is different from not…

I’d think it’s a bigger sign of having your shit together to have a credit card or two that you use responsibly (e.g., not max it but just put your normal expenses on it) in order to take advantage of some of the upsides of credit cards (building your credit history, rewards, some of the other perks that come with them like insurance for rental cars, etc.). But if you know you’re not ready for that, then I’d agree that not having a credit card is probably the best option.
