On the shoes: are you asking advice because you love them but aren’t sure you should spend the money? Or because you’re unsure whether you like them enough? If the former, I say go for it; if the latter, wait a week and see how you feel. If you’re still not sure at that point, don’t get them.
Friday I went to my parents’, stopping for some quick coop sushi on the way ($11.21, more than gas station candy but arguably healthier?). Saturday I went for a run, spent time with my parents, and then stopped on the way back to Vermont for groceries ($21.05) and booze ($49.98, I heart the NH State Liquor Store). Sunday I hosted brunch and then basically just read and watched TV for the rest of the day, which was glorious.
I estimated $50 for the weekend and spent $92.19, because I forgot to account for the undeniable allure NH’s cheaper alcohol prices.
