My Favorite Tech Shows and Conferences
When it comes to events for tech and startups, it can feel like there are too many to choose from. Well that’s correct. Whether it be local events like Startup Weeks, to global conferences like IMTS and everything in between — it’s important to pick the ones that are best for your business.
Considering I run a technology company I have to highlight the two biggest and most obvious ones that any tech company should attend as well as exhibit. First, let’s talk CES! Of course, this is the place to be for all things consumer electronics and new technology. Not only is it entertaining and engaging it is monumental in finding connections from sourcing parts to securing funding and beyond.
The same goes for my second “must-attend” event — Mobile World Congress but you’ll need a passport for this one! Consider Mobile World Congress the European version of CES.
When it comes to straight up networking events, you have to check out the Collision Conference. This event takes place annually in New Orleans and is one of the best for meeting people and making important connections. It’s also great for brand awareness. My favorite part is that each day brings new exhibitors so it’s an entirely new event each day. They also organize pub crawls for attendees making networking fun! Learn more here.
I would also like to add that it’s important that you find events that are best-suited for your company. For example, a new tech product that is also a home good should absolutely attend a trade-specific event like a “home and garden show.” Know your audience and attend the right events to effectively grow your business.
What’s your favorite event? I want to hear it!
