Cross the line.

What would a very stubborn toddler most probably do when he’s denied a new toy? He cries and throws tantrums. He indirectly, in his own way, accuses his parents of being heartless. If he could muster all the eloquence at such a young age, he’d most probably do up a speech of how backward and selfish his parents are.

But, being adults, we would know the parents aren’t really cruel. They have their reasons of denying the new toy. Or preventing him from reaching the boiling kettle. Or withholding chocolates when he’s ill.

A huge number of people around here think they’re “progressed”, “open-minded” and “anti-”bigot.”” Those who oppose them are idiots, backward, unnecessarily religious.

But nope, they’re not an awakened bunch. Breaking out of the conservative wall doesn’t mean it’s an intelligent option, neither does staying traditional. But thinking of long-term chain effects is.

So reach for that boiling kettle if you think the whistling snout sounds like freedom. But don’t try to influence me, or the people like me, or the children of the people like me, to reach it together with you because it will never happen.
