Finding your own voice in the chords.

During singing rehearsals it is sometimes difficult when hearing other voices when singing all together. But, some skills you can utilize that I use to help me recognize my own pitch. First, recognize your chord that is being played on the piano or over the speakers. By doing this I can know where my voice should start when I open it and begin to sing. Next, keep the air flow and sound consistent. Breaks in air may cause my voice to waiver and the sound to become shaky. When you realize your own sound it will become easier to sing in the crowd and project the notes that are needed.
