My Volleyball Life

The amount of preparation my team put in for our recent Championship Match is unfathomable. Yes, we’ve worked extrememly hard these past five months trying to get as far as possible, but there was so much more.

Volleyball began for me in seventh grade. When I signed up for modified volleyball team, I had no idea what the sport even was. Playing the modified season caused me to fall in love with the sport. I then got invited to play Caroga Lake Volleyball Club. So, from seventh grade to 11th grade, I played two complete seasons in each year consisting of countless tournaments, practices, and games.

This was not just something I did. All of the girls on this team have put in work through the tournament team and/or the normal sports team. My current volleyball team has been working towards the moment we had today since the beginning of their seventh grade year.

These six years of volleyball have been full of ups and downs….but mostly ups. I can’t express how proud I am of everyone and I can’t thank the people that supported us through this wild ride enough.
