Do I have any business starting a business?

This is a question I’ve been mulling over since taking a business class in high school. I heard things like you’re born with the instincts needed to be successful and you either have it or you don’t, you can’t learn it. All of the examples in textbooks were of MBA grads and those that seemed to grow up in entrepreneurial families.
I did not grow up surrounded by entrepreneurs and the idea of going through university and getting an MBA sounded terrifying and I didn’t love school enough to even want to attempt it.
All the business advice I was exposed to didn’t seem right. There was something missing. There was more to it than logos and business plans.
Only in the last few years have I heard advice about the fact that you can have a business doing something you actually enjoy. And that you don’t necessarily need an MBA. And this little thing called the internet has changed everything, including the people who we’re now able to connect with, be exposed to and inspired by.
I’m grateful for all the people who have indirectly influenced me, through courses, blog posts, podcasts, photos to take action and helped me believe it’s my business to start a business.
Ultimately from each one it was their story, how they went from wanting to start a business to actually being in business doing something that’s authentic and what they were meant to be doing, that has been the most helpful. You see possibility in these stories. And it’s that possibility that is driving me to start my own business.
