With the Launch of KLEVA nearing, today’s post will focus on KLEVA Protocol Timeline.
This post will illustrate in detail the Timeline of the first 5 weeks of Launch, with an explanation of the reason KLEVA Team has decided to implement such an order of events.
1. Week 0 ~ 1 (Launch) : Lending Pool & Staking Open
- WEMIX
- KLAY
- KUSDT
- KDAI
To allow Farmers to borrow assets and participate in Leveraged Yield Farming, assets must exist in Lending Pools. Therefore, at the stage of Launch, Lending Pools of 4 Tokens that are active in Klaytn DeFi Ecosystem will open. By limiting the number of Lending Pools, KLEVA Protocol aims to first gather assets that can be borrowed for Farmers to open Leveraged Yield Farming Positions.
Since only Lending Pools are open during this period, Lenders can expect all KLEVA Tokens to be rewarded to themselves, until Farmers can start farming. In short, similarly to a special event, early-participating Lenders can expect more Rewards.
** KLEVA Tokens are distributed to all participants following a certain allocation plan. The allocation plan will be updated in our DOCS.
2. Week 1 + : Leveraged Yield Farming Open
Leveraged Yield Farming will open after Lending Pools have matured. As Farmers start opening Leveraged Yield Farming Positions, ibTokens start to accrue Lending Interest. From the Lenders’ point of view, this means that 1 ibToken can be acquired for each Token during the first 7 days after Launch. As illustrated in KLEVA Docs, ibTokens accrue Lending Interests and thus rise in value with time.
For Farmers, since it is expected that there wouldn’t be too many Farmers at the initial stage of Leveraged Yield Farming, they can expect to pay smaller Borrowing Interest when compared to times where KLEVA Protocol has fully matured. For example, when the Utilization Ratio of KUSDT Lending Pool is only 15% in the initial stage, Farmers will only have to pay 5% Borrowing Interest. However, as more Farmers join and the Utilization Ratio has increased to 60%, Farmers will have to pay 20% Borrowing Interest. Normally, Farmers using Leveraged Yield Farming services on Layer-1 blockchains generally pay 10+% Borrowing Interest for borrowing stablecoins. Therefore, early participants will most likely enjoy the low Borrowing Interest, so please feel free to come and utilize the 4 Strategies illustrated on our DOCS.
3. Week 3 + : KLEVA Token Reward Claim & KLEVA Lending Pool (and Staking!) Open
From Launch, ibToken Stakers and Farmers can expect KLEVA Token Rewards. However, KLEVA Token Rewards are locked for the first 3 weeks and can only be claimed after this period. The reason that KLEVA Protocol has decided to implement such an “Initial Lock Up Period” is to prevent easy-price fluctuation by Crypto Whales.
As KLEVA Token circulation at the initial stage is inevitably small, any participant who possesses a large amount of KLEVA Token can easily manipulate the price. In order to reduce such probability of damage for Participants, it is necessary to Lock Up KLEVA Tokens until a sufficient amount of KLEVA Tokens are circulating in the market. Furthermore, KLEVA Tokens will be distributed linearly after the Lock Up Period ends — more details on Linear Distribution can be found in the next section.
**** KLEVA Protocol Participants can expect DEX Governance Tokens, Interest, and KLEVA Tokens as Reward. KLEVA Token Rewards can be a great incentive for Participants at the Launch Stage. However, for KLEVA Protocol to prosper in the long term, the proportion of KLEVA Tokens in the total amount of Rewards received from Participants must gradually decrease. In other words, ibToken Stakers must mainly expect Lending Interest (accrued in ibToken) as reward, while Farmers must mainly expect high APR from Governance Tokens of Farming Pools as rewards. Since KLEVA Protocol utilizes Farming Pools of DEXs, KLEVA Protocol will be able to provide greater value to Participants by integrating with various DEXs.
KLEVA Airdrop event for KSTA stakers at KlayStarter Launchpad is currently ongoing. All participants of the event can claim their KLEVA Token Airdrop 21 days (3 weeks) after KLEVA Protocol Launch. This is so that the launchpad participants can receive their KLEVA Token Airdrop at the same time as the participants of KLEVA Protocol. In other words, please understand that such policy has been implemented to ensure fairness for all participants, where neither the participants of the Launchpad nor the Participants of KLEVA Protocol may have an early advantage in claiming KLEVA Token Rewards.
4. Week 5 + : KLEVA Token Linear Distribution Complete
As stated above, KLEVA Token Reward is Linearly Distributed for 14 days (2 weeks) after the release of the “Lock Up Period” (21 days after Launch). The Linear Distribution is a safety device to prevent any malicious participants from fluctuating KLEVA Token prices when KLEVA Token circulation is small. If KLEVA Tokens locked up for 14 days are available for instant claim, malicious participant with large amount of KLEVA Token may “dump” his/her KLEVA Tokens, incurring great damage to other Participants.
Linear Distribution is based on the number of days left until the end of the process itself. This is a general rule applied to all Participants, regardless of the time of participation.
Below is an example to help comprehension of Linear Distribution :
Terms
- StartReleaseBlock : Block number at which Lock Up is released
- 21 days after KLEVA Protocol Launch (Week 3 +)
2. EndReleaseBlock : Block number at which Linear Distribution is completed
- 35 days after KLEVA Protocol Launch (Week 5 +)
3. CurrentBlock : Current Block Number
Example
- startReleaseBlock > CurrentBlock
- This is before Week 3 +, thus all KLEVA Token Rewards are Locked Up. Thus, Participants cannot claim their Rewards.
2. startReleaseBlock < CurrentBlock < EndReleaseBlock
- KLEVA Token Linear Distribution Period
- All KLEVA Token Rewards earned before startReleaseBlock is Linearly Distributed over 14 days
- All KLEVA Token Rewards earned after startReleaseBlock is Linearly Distributed over [EndReleaseBlock - CurrentBlock]
2-a. Example
- StartReleaseBlock : 0
- EndReleaseBlock : 150
- CurrentBlock : 100
KLEVA Token Rewards received before the StartReleaseBlock will be linearly distributed over 150 blocks.
KLEVA Token Rewards received after the StartReleaseBlock will follow the linear distribution logic. For example, if a participant withdraws their reward at block 100, they will receive rewards as below.
- 1st Withdraw : sum(Block Num 0 ~ 99 Reward)(=A) * 100/150
Moreover, if the participant withdraws their reward at block 120, they will receive rewards as below
- 2nd Withdraw : sum(Block Num 0 ~ 99 Reward)(=A) * 20/150 + sum(Block Num 100 ~ 119 Reward)(=B) * 20/50
3. EndReleaseBlock ≤ CurrentBlock
- Linear Distribution is complete at this stage, thus all rewards can be claimed.
This medium post illustrates the Timeline for the first 5 weeks since Launch, with supporting reasons for each plan. We hope all Participants will take their time to digest and fully understand this material, and prepare for the Launch of KLEVA Protocol.

금번 포스팅에서는 KLEVA Protocol 출시 후 약 5주간의 일정에 대해 공유드리며 해당 순서에 따라 서비스의 기능을 오픈해야 하는 이유도 설명드리겠습니다.
가. 출시 시점 — 랜딩풀 오픈 및 스테이킹 기능 오픈

KLEVA Protocol이 레버리지 이자농사를 지원하기 위해서는 대여 가능한 가상자산이 예치되어 있어야 합니다. 따라서 출시 시점에서는 현재 Klaytn DeFi 생태계에서 비중이 있는 4개의 가상자산에 대한 랜딩풀 및 스테이킹 기능이 우선 지원될 예정입니다. 랜딩풀을 한정적으로 선별한 이유는 영향력이 큰 가상자산들이 KLEVA Protocol에 더 많이 예치되도록 하기 위함입니다. 이를 통해 레버리지 이자농사에 참여하는 농부들이 대여할 수 있는 가상자산의 절대적인 수량을 확보하고 추후 KLEVA Protocol이 성장할 수 있는 기틀을 마련하기 위한 작업이라고 보시면 되겠습니다.
아울러 해당 기간 동안은 KLEVA Token의 보상이 온전히 대여자(Lender)에게만 지급되므로 추후 농부들이 참여하기 전까지는 더 많은 보상을 얻어 갈 수 있습니다.

나. 출시 후 1주 경과 시점 — 레버리지 이자농사 기능 오픈
랜딩풀의 규모가 어느 정도 형성된 시점에서 레버리지 이자농사 서비스가 오픈됩니다. 그리고 해당 시점부터 농부들은 레버리지 이자농사에 참여함에 따라 ibToken에 이자수익이 쌓이기 시작합니다. 이는 대여자의 입장에서 보면 출시 후 7일이 지나기까지는 1개의 Token으로 1개의 ibToken을 얻을 수 있다는 소리이기도 합니다. DOCS에도 명시되어 있지만 ibToken은 이자수익이 쌓이도록 설계되어 있어 시간이 지날수록 그 가치가 상승하게 됩니다.
아울러 레버리지 이자농사가 출시된 초기 시점에는 농부의 수가 많지 않아 KLEVA Protocol이 성숙기에 도달했을 때보다 훨씬 낮은 이자비용을 지불하고 가상자산을 대여하여 사용할 수 있습니다. 예컨대, 레버리지 이자농사가 오픈하는 시점에는 농부가 많지 않아 KUSDT 랜딩풀의 가동률(UR)이 15%라면 농부는 5%의 이자비용만 지불하면 되겠지만 추후에 농부들이 많이 참여하여 랜딩풀의 가동률(UR)이 60%가 될 경우 농부는 20%의 이자비용을 지불해야 합니다. 참고로 다른 Layer-1 블록체인에서 활성화되어 있는 레버리지 이자농사 서비스를 살펴보면, 농부가 스테이블 코인을 대여할 경우 일반적으로 10% 이상의 이자를 지불하고 있습니다. 따라서 초기에 참여하는 농부들은 DOCS의 투자 전략을 적극 활용하여 레버리지 이자농사에 참여하면서 낮은 이자비용의 혜택을 누리시기 바랍니다.
다. 출시 후 3주 경과 시점 — KLEVA Token 보상 수령 가능 & KLEVA 랜딩풀(+스테이킹 기능) 오픈
출시 이후 ibToken을 스테이킹 하는 대여자들과 레버리지 이자농사에 참여하는 농부들은 모두 KLEVA Token을 보상으로 얻을 수 있습니다. 단, 해당 보상은 출시 이후 21일간 락업이 걸려 락업이 해제되는 시점부터 수령이 가능합니다. 이와 같이 초기 보상의 수령을 제한할 수밖에 없는 이유는 소수의 세력에 의해 KLEVA Token의 가격이 조정될 수 있기 때문입니다. 출시 초반부에는 KLEVA Token의 시장 유통량이 매우 적을 수밖에 없기 때문에 초반에 대량의 KLEVA Token을 보유한 특정 투자자가 가격을 좌지우지할 수 있는 가능성이 존재합니다. 따라서 KLEVA Token이 어느정도 유통되는 시점에서 KLEVA Token의 락업을 해제해야 일반 참여자들이 피해를 볼 확률을 줄일 수 있습니다. 더 나아가 KLEVA Token 보상은 락업이 해제되는 시점부터 14일에 걸쳐서 선형 분배되며 해당 내용은 다음 항목에서 더 자세하게 다루도록 하겠습니다.
** KLEVA Protocol 참여자들은 어떤 방식으로 참여하느냐에 따라 조금씩은 상이하나 DEX의 거버넌스 토큰, 이자수익, 그리고 KLEVA Token을 수익으로 얻을 수 있습니다. 서비스 출시 시점과 초창기에는 KLEVA Token에 의한 보상이 참여자들에게 큰 유인으로 다가오겠으나 장기적인 관점에서는 KLEVA Protocol이 건전하게 발전하기 위해서는 참여자들이 받는 보상 중 KLEVA Token의 비중은 점차 작아져야 합니다. 즉, 스테이킹에 참여하는 대여자의 입장에서는 보상이 본인이 예치한 가상자산의 이자수익(ibToken에 축적)이 주가 되어야 하며 농부의 입장에서는 보상이 유동성 풀에서 나오는 거버넌스 토큰이 되어야 합니다. 실제로 KLEVA Protocol은 DEX의 유동성 풀을 활용하는 서비스이기 때문에 더 많은 유동성 풀을 연동함으로써 참여자에게 더 큰 가치를 제공할 수 있습니다.
사전에 발표한 바와 같이 KLEVA Protocol은 KlayStarter Launchpad에 참여하여 $KSTA를 스테이킹하면 KLEVA Token을 에어드랍하는 이벤트를 진행하고 있습니다. 해당 이벤트 참여자들은 KLEVA Protocol 출시 이후 21일이 지난 시점에서 KLEVA Token을 보상으로 받아 가게 되는데 이는 다. 항목의 KLEVA Token 보상 수령 시점과 동일하게 하기 위함입니다. 즉, Launchpad에 참여자와 KLEVA Protocol의 참여자가 그 어느누구도 먼저 보상을 수령하지 않도록 하기 위함이며 공정성을 최대한 갖추기 위한 KLEVA TEAM의 안중임을 이해해 주시기 바랍니다.
라. 출시 후 5주 경과 시점 — KLEVA Token 보상에 대한 선형 분배 종료
앞서 KLEVA Token 보상이 락업 해제되는 시점(출시 후 3주 경과 시점)부터 보상이 14일에 걸쳐서 선형 분배 될 계획임을 말씀드렸습니다. 해당 선형 분배 기능도 마찬가지로 초기 KLEVA Token의 적은 유통량으로 인해 악의적인 참여자가 KLEVA Token의 가격을 조정하는 행위를 방어하기 위한 안정장치입니다. 만약 14일 동안 락업되었던 물량이 한번에 지급될 경우 KLEVA Token을 많이 보유하고 있는 악의적인 투자자가 KLEVA Token을 덤핑하여 일반 참여자들이 큰 손해를 볼 수 있기 때문입니다.
선형 분배의 경우 본인이 토큰을 수령한 시점으로부터 선형 분배가 종료되는 시점까지 일수에 나눠서 분배되게 되며 참여한 시점과 상관없이 모든 참여자에게 공통으로 적용되는 규칙입니다.
선형 분배에 대한 이해를 위해 알아야 하는 용어에 대한 정리와 함께 사례를 들어보겠습니다.
용어 정리
- StartReleaseBlock : 락업이 해제되는 시점의 블록 숫자입니다.
- KLEVA Protocol 출시 후 3주가 경과되는 시점입니다.
2. EndReleaseBlock : 선형 분배가 끝나는 시점의 블록 숫자입니다.
- KLEVA Protocol 출시 후 5주가 경과되는 시점입니다.
3. CurrentBlock : 현시점의 블록 숫자입니다.
시점에 따른 경우의 수(사례)
1.StartReleaseBlock > CurrentBlock
- KLEVA Protocol 출시 후 3주가 지나기 전 시점으로 모든 보상이 락업이 된 상황입니다. 따라서 참여자들은 아직 보상을 수령할 수 없습니다.
2. StartReleaseBlock ≤ CurrentBlock < EndReleaseBlock
- KLEVA Token 보상을 선형 분배 받을 수 있는 시기입니다.
- StartReleaseBlock 이전에 받은 보상은 14일에 걸쳐서 선형 분배 됩니다.
- StartReleaseBlock 이후에 받는 보상은 EndReleaseBlock — CurrentBlock의 일수에 맞춰서 선형분배됩니다.
2-a. 예시
- StartReleaseBlock : 0
- EndReleaseBlock : 150
- CurrentBlock : 100
StartReleaseBlock 이전에 받은 모든 보상은 150블록에 걸쳐서 선형 분배됩니다.
StartReleaseBlock 이후에 받은 보상은 참여자가 보상인출을 요청하는 시점에 따라서 선형 분배 로직을 따르게 됩니다. 예컨대 참여자가 100번째 블록에서 보상 인출(withdraw)를 요청할 경우 아래와 같은 보상을 받을 수 있습니다.
