What you think, you become. These words of Buddha should not be taken as something happening magically. There is a lot of things between thinking and becoming. Here the word thinking is used very broadly, including a commitment and action. Usually, the quote continues as, “What you feel you attract. What you imagine you create.” So, I agree with “You are not your thoughts.” If you are what you think, then there is no need of ‘becoming.’
