CEO Heeyong Lee from KStarLive

Companies are trying to be involved with blockchain technology for the fourth industrial revolution since their belief of its impact will be huge for their industries. CEO of KStarLive said that K-pop industry is getting bigger and bigger everyday but there are so many inconveniences for their fans. Basically for K-pop fans, geography does matter to them. Even just buying things and sending gifts cost a lot and so complicated. However, the CEO said that through their blockchain platform, the whole process of purchasing and paying will be much easier than before. But this isn’t the whole story of KStarLive.

Not only that user’s active participation on their community platform helps the whole economy of its own community, but also users would get rewarded just by reading and uploading their contents; Everyone in the community get rewarded. This is the big difference from Steemit which only rewards for people who have gotten ‘Likes’. Another problem that were pointed out from Steemit was their ‘Whales’. Whales are influential users from Steemit, but their influence on Steemit is just too powerful. Some say, our society works the same way, so it shouldn’t be a problem. “But if the efforts have made by users go to zeros, who will be left from Steemit when there are other better platforms? Nobody, maybe except for whales”, CEO HeeYong Lee insisted.

To construct a better community for K-pop fans for all around the world is a must job said the CEO in the seminar. “Somebody should must do it for the nation since K-pop industry boost other industries also: beauty, fashion, tourism and for the better branding for its own country itself because K-pop industry has changed the way people see Korea.”
