Artificial intelligence AL launches at Capitol Federal Hall

There’s a new name to know at Capitol Federal Hall: AL. The School of Business’ very own artificial intelligence, AL, launches Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Students, faculty and staff can ask questions via AL at KU, a free app available for Apple and Android devices. AL will respond through the app and periodically on the video wall in Anderson Family Atrium.

Here’s how it works:

After downloading the app, create an account using your ku.edu email addresses. Confirm your account information, log in to the app and tap the “Ask” button to get started. You will see your question and AL’s answer, which might be text, a photo, a GIF or a video. The app also includes the business school’s blog feed.
AL will periodically respond to questions on the video wall in the Anderson Family Atrium (top) and will always respond via the AL at KU app (bottom), where you can also manage your profile.

AL was developed by Kansas City, Missouri-based Hint and features content to keep students connected as well as entertained, including details about the building, business school programs and more. AL is not all-knowing, and information will be added to help grow its intelligence based on the questions asked.

Ready to put AL to the test? Submit your questions and watch for them to appear on the video wall at select times during the day.
