What Is Collective Consciousness and Why Is It Crucial to Understand Today?

What is collective consciousness? It’s a common conscious awareness, perception and sensation of our interconnection and interdependence. According to the law of nature, everything is included in the one system, simultaneously influencing all its elements. Whether we understand it or not, human society is built by the same example and requires us to act so.

We are currently entirely focused on our individual bodies, which are against nature. If we could shift our concern away from our bodies, and toward society as a whole, we would then discover a whole new dimension of collective wisdom and attainment, and experience a harmonious and happy life in balance with nature.

What is the difference then between collective consciousness and the collective unconscious? The collective unconscious is an instinctive and automatic phenomenon that unites humanity and unconsciously transforms our civilization into a single body. It is the instrument that nature uses to drive our development. At certain periods of our development, nature or the upper force, leads us through challenges, crises and revolutions in order to gradually guide us to “wake up” from our unconscious state.

Collective consciousness is the result of humanity waking up. It marks the full transition from individual to collective perception, sensation and awareness. To undergo such a transition without the need for pains to prod us, we need an upgraded form of education that can guide us on how to positively (without crises and revolutions) connect in today’s modern interconnected world.

Collective consciousness, striving toward resembling nature’s force of love and bestowal, is the key for balance and harmony with both our increasingly interdependent human society and nature itself on all its other levels: still, vegetative and animate. By making common efforts in raising awareness about our interdependence, we enter a new dimension of connection between us and as a result, experience a new harmonious existence.
