My take on the agile evangelism and dogmatism requires no data or evidence. It’s a personal stance. Agile as a practice or methodology is antiquated, unnecessary and sub-optimal.
Ever worked in a modern organisation? Check your 2001 manifesto and agile tshirt in at the door please. We prefer to focus & get things done instead of high fiving and frothing over our love of Agile while being the best example of group think ever known.
Agile is a club where people go to be artificially excited about a way of doing things with prescribed practices. It’s cringe-worthy at best.
My blog isn’t here to sell you the next Agile and make money from my coaching and transformation powers. It’s to enable you to reflect on what you’re doing and consider that you can let the dogma, evangelism and hype go and still ship good products. It’s 2018, welcome to a world of modern software development.
