The biggest problem here is they are taking an actual definition of violence that applies to words (“ Extreme or powerful emotion or expression; great strength of feeling, as in language, etc; fervour”, as idiom ‘do violence to’, “to distort or twist the sense or intention of”) and utilizing it to mean a whole other definition of violence that has nothing to do with words (“ Behavior or treatment in which physical force is exerted for the purpose of causing damage or injury”) and are in doing so ironically enough, are committing violence ( as per the idiom ‘do violence to’, “to distort or twist the sense or intention of”) upon the concept of violence.
Plus, they’re utilizing a noun as an adjective. Just poor linguistics all around.
