Ask A Swole Woman: When A Man Asks You Why You Lift
Casey Johnston

My first response to your column. Note that as a man your advice is good for both sexes. Many men have trouble asking for help.

On your first reply there are two very broad stereotypical male queries. There is as always at least one idiot and he normally has one friend there. So moving on.

The second is also quite common and he is just as confused as a woman new to lifting. So I would suggest, “Just because, why do you do it?” and asking how long have they been doing it. Now if that provokes the heightened idiot man response then mute him. However, it can start a dialogue about why they started, if they are confused about what to eat, and so many things that allow your column to be mentioned or the various links you provide. To me, those are all good things.
